Prologue
In La Montaña de Guerrero, the Mè'phàà people have built, over centuries, their own way of understanding the world. That way of thinking and living remains in their language, their territory, music, dance, communal work, and everyday relationship with nature.
This is knowledge that was not born in books, but in the shared experience of generations who have inhabited these mountains since ancient times.
Prologue
Today the Montaña faces deep transformations. Racism, migration for lack of opportunity, the declining use of the Mè'phàà language, and changes in the climate are reshaping community life.
The rains no longer arrive when they once did, agricultural cycles shift, and the territory faces new threats. When the territory changes, the ways of life that grew with it also change.

But this is not the story of a culture that disappears.
It is the story of a people who keep transforming without breaking their bond with memory, territory, and community.
